Brand Voice lets you teach the AI how your business should sound. Set it up once per location and it shapes everything the AI writes for you — review replies, social captions, and blog drafts — so the output feels on-brand instead of generic.
Brand Voice is included on all plans.
Open Brand Voice
In the sidebar, under AI, click Brand Voice. If you manage more than one location, pick the location first in the sidebar location switcher — each location has its own voice.
Set your voice
- Personality — choose up to 4 words that describe your brand's character (for example welcoming, adventurous, family-friendly).
- Tone — choose up to 3 words for how you sound (for example warm, enthusiastic, inviting).
- How formal? — pick Casual, Balanced, or Formal. Casual reads like a friendly text to a regular; Formal stays polished and professional; Balanced is the happy middle and the default.
- Posts that sound like you — pick up to 3 of your published posts that sound the most like you. The AI studies their style (never copies their wording) when writing new captions. If you don't pick any, we automatically learn from posts you wrote or edited yourself.
- Sign-off — how you'd like replies and posts to be signed, such as "The Demo Camp Team". Leave it blank to use your business name.
- Custom Guardrails — extra rules for the AI, one per line (for example "Mention pet-friendly sites when relevant"). These add to our built-in safety rules — they can't switch them off.
- Words to avoid — words or phrases the AI should never use, one per line. If one slips into a draft, we automatically rewrite it once before you ever see it.
Let us draft it for you
Click Draft from my website and we'll suggest a personality, tone, and guardrails based on what's already on your website. It's free — review the suggestions, tweak anything, then save. (You'll get the best suggestions if your website address is saved under Website.)
Preview before you commit
Click Live Preview to see a sample review reply and social caption written in your current voice — handy for fine-tuning before you turn it on. A live preview uses 1 AI credit because it generates real sample text. Drafting and saving are free.
Turn it on
Flip Enable Brand Voice to on and click Save Brand Voice. From then on, your replies, captions, and posts use your voice automatically — no extra steps when you publish.
Leave it off and your AI content keeps working exactly as before, using the default friendly tone. You can turn it on and off any time.
Frequently asked questions
Does this change my Google auto-replies? Yes — when Brand Voice is on, your automatic and one-click review replies use it too.
Does it affect Content Studio posts? Yes. Captions and blog drafts generated by the AI follow your voice.
Can it remove safety rules? No. Custom guardrails and banned words only add restrictions. Our built-in safety guardrails always apply.
Do I need to set this up for every location? Each location has its own Brand Voice, so you can sound different at different properties. A new location starts with Brand Voice off.
What happens if I delete a post I picked under "Posts that sound like you"? Nothing breaks — we simply skip it and learn from your remaining picks (or fall back to posts you wrote or edited yourself). You can re-pick replacements any time.
